The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is working on laying the groundwork for the LRT Line 2 West extension project after securing a P2-billion funding.jollibee.bet
LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera, in an interview last week in Pasay City, said they were focusing on acquiring the right of way and relocation of utilities like electrical, water and telecommunication lines.
Cabrera said they were in talks with the concerned water service concessionaire, power distribution company and telecommunication service providers to go ahead with the relocation.

For now, however, Cabrera said the remainder of the P11-billion funding for the project is yet to be sourced.

Article continues after this advertisementThe Line 2 West extension project, which links the areas of Recto to Tondo, spans 3.02 kilometers. Its design includes three additional stations: Tutuban, Divisoria and Pier 4.
In 2021, the P9.51-billion East extension project of LRT 2 was inaugurated.
